Spreadsheet Use In Accounting Process

One of the most overlooked internal control issues in small to mid-size companies is the use of spreadsheets in the day-to-day accounting process. Spreadsheets are great for analysis, modeling, forecasting, etc., but should not be used in lieu of controlled interfaces between production systems and general ledger. Yet many companies continue to do so on a regular basis.
